2021 Honda Insight vs 2020 Honda Insight

Serving Charlottesville, VA

For more than two decades, the Honda Insight has been a top option for auto shoppers in the Charlottesville area. Specifically, this hybrid-electric sedan holds strong appeal for drivers who crave fuel efficiency and modern style in a well-equipped car. Before you head home in your new Honda, you should get to know the changes that have been made to the Insight between the 2020 and 2021 model years. While they are subtle, they add value to your driving experience. Are you ready to uncover the differences between the 2020 and 2021 Honda Insight?

The 2020 and 2021 Honda Insight are identical under the hood. All three trim options come with a four-cylinder, 1.5-liter gas engine, and a dual battery design. The engine is mounted to a front-wheel drive drivetrain system, and it plays a significant role in regenerating the battery. You can enjoy enhanced control over the vehicle’s performance and its power regeneration capabilities thanks to an Econ driving mode, a Sport driving mode, and deceleration paddles that are mounted to the steering wheel.

You will not notice any significant differences to the Insight’s exterior style between 2020 and 2021. The Insight is a beautiful sedan that shows off graceful flow throughout its forward-leaning profile. The tapered, rounded nose holds a black grille with Honda’s signature logo sitting squarely in the middle of it. A chrome bar runs along the top side of the grille and connects the slim LED headlights. Other features on the Insight’s exterior could include an integrated spoiler, a fin-style antenna, heated side mirrors, and fog lamps.

When you closely compare the 2020 Insight to the 2021 version, the most significant difference that you will come across is found in the EX and Touring trim levels. For 2021, these trim levels receive a blind-spot alert system and a rear cross-traffic warning as standard equipment for the first time. The Insight’s other interior and safety features are unchanged. Select or all Insight trim levels come with a 10-speaker audio system, a wireless hotspot, a 5-inch or 8-inch color display screen, a dual-zone climate management system, leather material, smart device integration, and more.

At Umansky Honda, we will do what it takes to help you make your next auto purchase with a high degree of confidence. To experience the Insight’s premium features and abilities for yourself, contact our sales office today to make test driving arrangements.
