Serving Charlottesville, VA

The Honda CR-V is a popular compact SUV with attractive styling and a spacious interior. Recently, Honda introduced a more fuel-efficient version of the SUV known as the Honda CR-V Hybrid. Discover more about these two capable SUVs and how they differ by reading below.

The traditionally gas-powered 2022 Honda CR-V comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This engine produces 190 horsepower, and it allows the CR-V to achieve up to 28 mpg in the city and up to 34 mpg on the highway. Surprisingly, the CR-V Hybrid actually provides both increased horsepower in addition to better fuel economy. The 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid comes with a 2.0-liter hybrid four-cylinder engine, and it produces a total of 212 horsepower while achieving up to 40 mpg in the city and up to 35 mpg on the highway.

The Honda CR-V and Honda CR-V Hybrid have nearly identical styling. Both SUVs offer a sophisticated yet athletic appearance with a muscular stance. These SUVs look beautiful thanks to clean sheet metal and flowing lines. Drivers will also enjoy the variety of colors available for the CR-V. The main difference in appearance between the 2022 CR-V and 2022 CR-V Hybrid is that the latter features several subtle badges on the exterior to indicate that its a hybrid vehicle.

When it comes to features, it can be a little tricky to compare the CR-V and the CR-V Hybrid. The 2022 Honda CR-V features five trims that include the LX, Special Edition, EX, EX-L, and Touring. Meanwhile, the 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid forgoes the LX and Special Edition trims and starts out with the Hybrid EX trim. Therefore, the 2022 Honda CR-V’s notable standard features include a 5-inch color display screen, bluetooth audio, automatic climate control, a four-speaker stereo system, forward collision mitigation, lane keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. Meanwhile, the standard features for the 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid add onto or replace these features with a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone automatic climate control, a six-speaker stereo system, a sunroof, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, and more. These features are also available on the traditional CR-V as you go up to higher trim levels.
