The Compact That Delivers Versatile Style

The Honda Civic is a perennial favorite with our customers from throughout the greater Charlottesville area, since it's the benchmark for its compact car segment. The 2018 version is available as a sedan, a coupe or a hatchback, with multiple trim levels available for each body style, so almost everyone can find a model that suits their needs. If you're looking for a stylish ride that's loaded with the latest safety features and technology, you owe it to yourself to take a good look at the Honda Civic.

Honda Civic Styling

The Honda Civic has received an exciting, innovative design update that boasts an aggressive front end, a long, wide stance and C-shaped taillights. Sedan and Coupe models feature a sloping roofline, while the Hatchback draws attention thanks to its high-mounted spoiler and bulging rear end. Sport and Sport Touring hatchback models enjoy the throaty allure of center-mounted dual exhausts.

Inside, premium materials await you in a cabin that's laid out with a clear focus on the driver. The Honda Civic offers interior volume that dwarfs that offered by most of its class competitors, and tremendous storage capacity. The sedan delivers 15.1 cubic feet of trunk space; the hatchback offers 25.7 cubic feet of cargo capacity when the rear seats are up, and gains an additional 20 cubic feet when the seats are folded down.

Honda Civic Performance

When you're looking to get around the Lake Monticello, Ruckersville and Waynesboro areas, you want an engine you can trust to deliver when you call on it. Most Honda Civic models feature a choice of two engines and two transmissions, with the sedan and coupe both starting with a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder that pairs to a standard six-speed manual transmission or an available continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Higher-level sedan and coupe trims -- along with hatchbacks -- come with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that offers more power and efficiency.

Honda Civic Features

Even the base model Honda Civic comes with an array of standard features, including automatic climate control, rearview camera, a four-speaker AM/FM audio system that includes a 5-inch screen, Bluetooth® streaming and a USB port,  and a folding rear seat. Optional amenities include remote start engine, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto® compatibility, navigation and much more.

Honda Civic Safety

The Honda Civic earned a 5-Star Overall rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the highest score possible, scoring top marks in frontal, side and rollover crash tests. While an abundance of driver assistance features are available, two that we particularly like are Honda LaneWatch and Honda Sensing. Honda LaneWatch is a passenger-side blind spot camera system, while Honda Sensing is a suite of safety features such as collision mitigation braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.

Honda Civic Trim Levels

As we mentioned earlier, the Honda Civic is offered in sedan, hatchback and coupe body styles. Each is available in multiple trim levels, though trim names change based upon the body style you select.

Honda Civic sedan is available in LX, EX, EX-T, EX-L and Touring trims.

Honda Civic coupe is offered in LX, LX-P, EX-T, EX-L and Touring trims.

Honda Civic hatchback can be found in LX, Sport, EX, EX-L Navigation and Sport Touring trims.

With so very many options available, we're going to highlight some of the most popular trims available:

  • Honda Civic LX: this is the base model for all three bodies, offering all of the standard features that we've mentioned previously. You can add the optional automatic transmission and Honda Sensing systems to this trim level.
  • Honda Civic Sport: this hatchback-only trim boasts the more powerful turbocharged 1.5-liter engine, as well as dual exhaust pipes, a spoiler kit, sport pedals, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, fog lights and a rear-seat armrest. While the manual transmission is standard, you can add the available CVT.
  • Honda Civic EX: Offered for both the sedan and the hatchback, this trim level adds push-button start, Honda LaneWatch, a moonroof and a 7-inch touchscreen that features Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™, satellite radio, HD radio, two USB ports and an eight-speaker audio system.
  • Honda Civic EX-T: adds fog lights, dual-zone climate control and heated front seats for both sedan and coupe drivers. This trim can be upgraded with the addition of the Honda Sensing system and the CVT.
  • Honda Civic EX-L: this trim level is available for all three body styles, and adds auto-dimming rearview mirror and leather seats. Hatchback models also get a navigation system, while sedan and hatchback models both come with a power-adjustable driver's seat. The CVT and Honda Sensing are both available options.
  • Honda Civic Touring: comes in sedan or coupe body styles, and tacks on Honda Sensing, rain-sensing wipers and heated rear seats. Coupe models get a navigation system, while sedan versions get a power-adjustable passenger seat.
  • Honda Civic Sport Touring: is only found in a hatchback, as befits the trim name. This also includes a power-adjustable passenger seat and the Honda Sensing system, along with an upgraded audio system and a more powerful engine.
